Its that special time of year again…SPRING!! The flowers are starting to bloom and people are starting to be running down Stratford Road in droves. Also, this time of year… The Tour of Fine Spaces presented by the Junior League of Winston-Salem. This is one of my favorite events EVERY year!! I love looking at newly renovated homes big and small and getting all sorts of home ideas. The Junior League is near and dear to my heart, so when they asked me if I would blog about the Tour this year I said YES!! Also, near and dear to my heart is a contest!! Enter at the bottom of the post for your chance to win TWO tickets to the Tour of Fine Spaces. The JLWS is responsible for BookWORM, the Child Abuse Puppet Show, as well volunteering with community partners throughout the city. These include the Backpack program, Golor Community Garden and the Children’s Museum, just to name a few!! So lets get to it… here are a few pictures of some of the homes that will be featured on

We are back … Daphne and I together once again! Our holiday schedules were a little crazy and so we are excited to be able to get together. Pane E Vino is one of my favorite spots to grab breakfast or lunch so I was pumped for Daphne to join me because she had never been. If you don’t know where it is located, it is in Reynolda Village near the rear exit.
I often come for breakfast to meet with people for business and I’m happy to say that they serve Krankie’s coffee, a huge perk to me. Enough about breakfast… that is for another post.
I often get asked how do I keep up with my favorite blogs? Easy I use bloglovin‘. I subscribe to each blog through the site and then I get one email each day reminding me that they are all there waiting for me to read. This easy to use site lets you create your own feed. When I am done, I mark all as read. It couldn’t be any easier or time efficient.
I also think a cool feature that bloglovin’ has is “Find blogs to follow” … there have been some great finds for me through this feature.
Daphne and I are back after a little hiatus and our appetites are huge! We are excited to be reviewing our time at one of Winston-Salem’s favorite spots… Mary’s Gourmet Diner. My first time at Mary’s was when it was still on Brookstown Avenue. The restaurant was always packed, I became a fan with the grilled cheese right away. Fast forward a few years later, the location now on 723 Trade Street has outdoor and indoor seating, eclectic furnishings, and a whole lot of good vibes when you walk through the door.
