Here are my pictures from my little dinner party tonight. It was really fun to mix my grandmothers, Bain’s great aunt’s and my china together creating an eclectic table full of family heirlooms to Homegoods finds. The conversations were fascinating, the drinks were flowing, and people were eating. It was a great night of solidarity.
Woah… I’m exhausted so tell me your thoughts about how I styled the table. Tell me the good and the bad. I’d love to know your thoughts.
I turned my living room into the dining room. Having twenty two people over I knew I wanted to do sit down, but my dining room only fits eight. So there are three tables here with chairs from all over the house. The mix – match made the table incredibly intimate and personal, instead of long and massive.
I showed y’all my inspiration yesterday, my take is with a magnolia leaf. They were longer and smoother, which meant easier to write on.
Here is the buffet table with my tree.
No it isn’t a huge tree but it worked and with the extra leaves it made for a very fallish centerpiece.
