Last week was New York Fashion Week…

Many of you know that last week was New York Fashion Week.  As social media becomes more and more prevalent in our society we get to see more and more pictures and videos almost as quickly as the looks are strutted down the runway.  There has been a little backlash about all this immediate access, but for the most part it has been embraced.  That all being said, I spent way too much time checking instagram, reading blogs, and on pinterest late into the night seeing what design firms, bloggers, and others were seeing for the Spring 2014 season.  I thought I’d share a few of my favs.  Some of the trends that popped out were the bold colors, daring patterns, nod to the sixties and ladylike statuettes.

My favorite from Oscar de la Renta

The Oscar de la Renta Show was my absolute favorite.  Full of color, ladylike silhouettes, and fabulous prints.  It got me excited about the clothes are are in store for next spring! I’m also so curious to find out how the sixties influences in such lines as Ralph Lauren and Tory Burch plays out in the spring.  I think the clothes are super fun and have many silhouettes that look complementary on many different figures!  What did you see that you can’t wait to get in the spring?
OK one last fun thing… the Queen of Fashion, Anna Wintour, known for her fierce demeanor couldn’t help herself but smile when she was at Victoria Beckham’s show seated next to Harper Beckham and  her dad David.  My favorite picture of the whole week..

Enjoy your week and as always thank you for reading.
