I know I said I was done with posts about High Point Furniture Market… and I am but I need to tell you about one of the best “hole in the wall” restaurants right on Main Street. Sumela is one of Liz’s and my favorites when we are coming to High Point for the day. So when Daphne and I took a trip to High Point last week, I had to introduce her to this restaurant.
The quaint atmosphere should not deter you from going in and ordering the delicious Turkish and Mediterranean restaurant.
Daphne had the Chicken Souvlaki and thought it was delicious.
I had the hummus appetizer and piyaz salad. The hummus is homemade and the best I have ever had. Piyaz Salad… I dream about this salad. It is made of beans with parsley, onions, fresh tomatoes, and peppers. It is fantastic…
I wanted to know if Daphne felt the way I did about Sumela and she thinks it is the best kept secret in High Point. If you are in High Point do stop by Sumela. I’ve never had a bad meal there.
As, always thank you for reading the blog!
