Dining with Daphne … Pane E Vino

We are back … Daphne and I together once again!  Our holiday schedules were a little crazy and so we are excited to be able to get together.    Pane E Vino is one of my favorite spots to grab breakfast or lunch so I was pumped for Daphne to join me because she had never been.  If you don’t know where it is located, it is in Reynolda Village near the rear exit.

I often come for breakfast to meet with people for business and I’m happy to say that they serve Krankie’s coffee, a huge perk to me.  Enough about breakfast… that is for another post.

Daphne and I were there for lunch  and  she had the spinach veggie wrap with homemade pasta salad.  When I asked her about lunch, “Both were awesome.  The wrap had squash and zucchini, tomatoes and spinach with a delicious hummus to pull it all together.  The pasta was very fresh and some of the best pasta salad I have had.”  It looked delicious and she didn’t offer me a bite 🙂

I had one of my all time faves, the Prosciutto Apple Panini it is thinly sliced prosciutto with green apples and Havarti cheese with a balsamic glaze and whatever bread you choose.  I always get the wheat.  I also really like the carrot sticks and Thai peanut dressing as my side.  The dressing is more of a peanut butter than what I would think of as a dressing.  I love a warm sandwich in the fall and winter and this one always satisfies.

Daphne and I shared the tiramisu for dessert.  We both dove in with our spoons and finished off the cup in no time.  It was deconant.  We were trying to be polite about who got the last bite but both of us were eying it hoping the other person would say, “you can have it.” I won’t tell you who won out. All I will say is Yum!!

I asked Daphne what she thought of the setting, “I loved the ambiance, it is very laid back and comfortable.  She also added, “I can not wait to go back and try other menu items that seemed to all be right up my alley.”  To me if that isn’t an endorsement to go try Pane E Vino I don’t know what is 🙂

So go, grab a pal and get yourself to the Pane E Vino.  You won’t be disappointed.
