Last week I had the great fortune to have lunch with Daphne and special guest Shannon! I was in for a real treat with these two gals. Daphne had decided that we would check out King’s Crab Shack and Oyster Bar for lunch. I love being anywhere on Fourth Street during the lunch hour and seeing people coming and going. I was excited to dive into the food.
It is a cheery spot with an even more fun waitress, Elizabeth.
She told me not to get the coffee, I really appreciate honest advice.
Y’all know how much I love coffee.
Daphne was running a couple of minutes behind so I went ahead and got the soup…. Creamy Mussel and Oyster. It was good.
After Daphne arrived and we had fun chatting it was time to order!
Shannon got the Prince Edward Mussels.
It looked delicious!
Next up Daphne’s meal…
She wanted you all to know she had crab legs, fried okra and slaw.
“It was delicious. The crab legs were cooked perfectly and the okra was awesome.”
Each piece easily the crab came out of its shell.
My dish was the peel and eat shrimp (cold). I thought the meal was exceptional.
It was so fun catching up with these two amazing gals!
We were bummed Shannon didn’t want to get in the picture (we loved her being there:))
Daphne had some last bits of advice about King’s Crab Shack:
She felt like she was at the beach while we were there. The ambiance made her feel like she was on the coast.
Completely different vibe than another spot on Fourth Street.
Daphne also said, “I would absolutely go back. On Mondays they half half price crab legs which I would defiantly try to go on a Monday.”
To me there is nothing better than trying new spots and getting to hang out with awesome friends!!
