Dashing Fave … St. Paul’s 68th Annual Bazaar and Luncheon
It’s about the time for one of my favorite events in Winston-Salem, St. Paul’s 68th Annual Bazaar and Luncheon. I wrote about it last year and this year there are so many new exciting elements. From decorated Christmas Trees, to Hot Chocolate by Krankies to Santa Claus himself, this year’s bazaar is not to be missed.
When: Wednesday, November 5th (TOMORROW), from 10:30am to 2:00pm in the Colhoun Room. A preview evening will be held on TODAY, November 4th, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The theme of this year’s event is Rejoice and Be Glad! Proceeds will support the mission and ministries of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
The Preview Evening -TONIGHT
This year the preview evening will feature Pictures with Santa and refreshments. There will be live musical performances from local artists. St. Paul’s Novice Choir will also perform, as will other current and alumni members of St. Paul’s Preschool.
Admission will be $5 per person or $20 per family and includes the opportunity to enjoy the live performances while previewing the Wishing Tree and the items for sale on Wednesday. In addition, children will enjoy visiting with Santa Claus himself and snacking on homemade cookies and hot chocolate. Parents should bring their camera to capture a photo. Volunteers are needed to provide hot chocolate and cookies and to serve in other areas of the bazaar that evening. !
NEW THIS YEAR:
Decorated Christmas Trees
There will be fully decorated artificial Christmas trees for sale and as part of the Wishing Tree.
Silhouettes by Cindi
Artist Cindi Harwood Rose is traveling from Texas to create hand-cut silhouettes of your children, grandchildren or pets. She will be with us on both November 4th and 5th. She can create silhouettes from photographs or of live subjects (pet silhouettes may only be done from photos).

The Luncheon — My Favorite Part!!
The traditional Bazaar Luncheon will be served from 11:30am to 1:30pm on November 5th. To- go orders may also be picked up from the kitchen during that time. Each plate is $10. Our menu includes lasagna or chicken salad with bread, salad, tea and coffee and a choice of brownie or lemon tart.
