My readers know that I love shopping, eating, doing everything local 99% of the time. Every once in a while though, I need a little bit of help. A few weeks ago, I was on Facebook and saw a company that intrigued me called, Stitch Fix.
The website explains, “Stitch Fix is the first fashion retailer to blend expert styling, proprietary technology and unique product to deliver a shopping experience that is truly personalized for you. Simply fill out the Stitch Fix Style Profile and our personal stylists will handpick a “Fix” of five clothing items and accessories unique to your taste, budget and lifestyle. Simply buy what you like and return the rest.”
I did the survey asking all kinds of questions, from how I like to wear my clothes (i.e. tight or loose) to style icon (Reece Witherspoon) and lots of other insightful questions along the way.
This week I was excited to get the box in the mail.
I started taking the clothes and earrings out and was delighted by each piece. The stylist survey had nailed my style.
It was a tough decision what to keep and what to send back.
My thought is since I’m getting this box every month, I need to love the item of clothing/accessory not just like it.
Finally, I went online and told my preferences of what I was going to keep and put the other clothing in the mail. It was that simple. When I was done with everything, I got an update for the next time I’m getting a box.
Whoo hoo! I’m so excited. I am currently trying this service out for once a month but I could switch it to every other month, I can skip a month, and I can end the service at any time without a cancelation fee. If I don’t like any of the clothes or accessories, there is a $20 fee. But other than that there is no monthly fee or membership dues.
I have been very impressed with Stitch Fix so far and look forward to seeing what is in my box at the end of the month.
