I’ve told y’all that I’m going to be a bridesmaid for the first time in a long time. I’m very excited. This past weekend we went to DC to celebrate Anna’s upcoming wedding and have a bachelorette party of sorts. There were no strippers, tiaras, or sashes. This trip was more focused on fabulous eating, glorious drinks, and amazing friends.
On Friday night we went to proof. Located in the Penn Quarter, the restaurant was fantastic we sampled a ton of appetizers and I had the Duck Confit, with Crispy Pork Belly, and House made pork sausage for dinner. All was fantastic. There was mint in the sausage so although it was a rich dish the mint really lightened it up. I loved the cool ambiance with the wine bottles behind us and a fantastic wall of wine.
