Being a Bridesmaid 2.0 — Ordering the dress

When I was in my early twenties, I felt like I was on the wedding circuit.  There were a couple of really fun years after college where many of my weekends were filled with showers, bachelorette parties, and more.  I was lucky enough to be a bridesmaid a few times and it was always a blast.

Of course with all the fun came the bridesmaid dress.    I remember loving some of the dresses… and well NOT others. Fast forward almost ten years and I get to be a bridesmaid for my great friend from college Anna!!  Anna is a beautiful laid back gal.  Originally from Tabor City, Anna was the one person in my group of girl friends during college that truly went with the flow.  I adore her and am so excited for she and her fiancé Clay to tie the knot!!

Picking the dress has changed since 2002/3 WAY Different.  Enter website Weddington Way.  Here Anna could choose multiple dresses from designers such as Watters (used to be Watters and Watters…) and make a board for us to like/comment on each of the dresses and do everything online.

As an added bonus you get emails when the unique site is updated on what everyone has ordered . Which is a gentle reminder if you haven’t ordered your dress yet!

So the only thing you have to do is get your measurements.  Although the website gives you directions.  I guess I’m old school and made an appointment at Nitsa’s to help me with this.

Nitsa’s has a fabulous selection of wedding dresses as well as bridesmaid dresses as well

They had one of the dresses Anna had selected although in the wrong size I still wanted to try it on

 I’m terrible at selfies…

So I picked the dress, ordered it, not the last bridesmaid (!), and even found a coupon code to get a discount.  Win!  Win!  Win!  I’m giddy to be a bridesmaid again after a long break.  This is gonna be a great wedding and I feel so blessed to be a bridesmaid.

Dashing – xoxo
